Target faces a new boycott over ICE response as retailer presses ahead with turnaround

A major labor union, the AFT, is calling for its 1.8 million members to shop at local stores rather than Target, saying the retailer did not respond adequately to the surge of federal immigration enforcement in Minneapolis, CNBC has learned. The fresh calls for a boycott come as Target tries to win back trust and return to sales growth. Earlier this month, an Atlanta area pastor said he was ending a Target boycott over the company’s rollback of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
